What are the system requirements to use Power Pet Sitter?

Since Power Pet Sitter is hosted on our servers and accessed via internet, there’s nothing to install and no server/platform requirements to worry about. All you need is a web browser with and an Internet connection. We highly recommend a high speed connection like DSL or a cable modem and an internet connection. Since we are tightly integrated with QBOE, Power Pet Sitter supports all major browsers on PCs and Macs. (IE, Chrome, Firefox; Safari for Mac Users) Check the Intuit website before upgrading your browser to make sure you will be compatible with QBOE.

Do you have a mobile application?

Gone are the days of worrying about mobile applications! With the new version of Power Pet Sitter, there is no need for a separate application. Do you have a device that will connect to the internet via a browser? That’s all you need!

Regardless of device type or operating system, Power Pet Sitter can be easily accessed by Admin, Clients, and Sitters, giving Sitters an easy way to access important Client information like gate codes, feeding instructions, or appointment specific notes, or upload pet pictures directly to chat or pet profile! Clients can login and see current and future appointments, schedule new appointments, add or edit pets, or chat with your sitters!

Is this a long-term commitment?

Not at all. Power Pet Sitter charges on a monthly basis and you can cancel at any time! Give us a call and ask us about it or check out our Pricing Page!

Can I change plans at any time?

Yes. You’re able to manage your account easily from directly inside the software. Just go to your menu and select Accounts and Connections. This will show you your current billing information, package and when you’re due to be charged again. All upgrades and downgrades are prorated, ensuring you’re never double charged for access.

Do you provide phone support for your users?

We do provide phone support from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, Monday thru Friday but we provide unlimited support via email. We do our best to respond to every email in a timely manner.

Do I have to use QuickBooks Online?

No. While Power Pet Sitter can be connected to Quickbooks Online Edition (QBO), using that integration isn’t mandatory. Power Pet Sitter will still fully functional without that connection. However, we also do not integrate with desktop editions of Quickbooks. If you choose to use QBO, please make sure you’re using at least a ‘Small Business’ package as Power Pet Sitter cannot connect with Self Employed packages.

Can we install Power Pet Sitter on our own server?

We don’t offer desktop versions of Power Pet Sitter, as it is only available as a hosted solution. We maintain the servers, the security, all the updates and improvements so you don’t have to worry about anything.

Where is the server located? Is my data secure?

Our servers are hosted by Amazon Web Services with fault-tolerant, fully redundant connectivity. All of your communications with Power Pet Sitter are encrypted and all credit card information is stored by your merchant provider,  giving you and your clients the highest level of security and protection!

Is our data backed up in case of an emergency?

Data is backed up nightly and written to multiple disks instantly. We can perform full backup recovery in the event of a system-wide emergency. Our hardware is also fully redundant so even if one disk or server fails nothing will be lost and the system will not go down.

Can we export our data if we don’t want to use Power Pet Sitter anymore? What format is the export in?

Yes! You can always export your various Client, Staff and Pet data out into an .CSV file which works with both Excel and Numbers programs.

Does Power Pet Sitter do invoices?

No. Power Pet Sitter will create invoices to move into QuickBooks, but can not generate them inside the system for billing. Our confirmation emails do have line items and displays sub and grand totals for visits and appointments. Smaller businesses may feel comfortable with using those as pseudo-invoices.

Does Power Pet Sitter allow me to take credit cards?

Yes. You will need to set up a merchant account with a provider. Power Pet Sitter integrates with Square Processing. Go to Square’s site to start setting up your credit card processing today!

Can I see my staff’s schedule at a glance?

Yes. Our calendar tab will show you every sitter, their appointment, what they’re being paid for it, and any set time for the date selected. You’re also offered a Sitter Time Off Schedule, letting you easily see what dates and times your Staff members have themselves marked as Unavailable.

Can I write Client notes that the client will not see?

Yes. You also have the ability to write Admin notes for the client without the client or the sitter being able to view it.

Does Power Pet Sitter have an automatically e-mailed schedule?

Yes. It is e-mailed out automatically every night. Admin will get two e-mails – One for the complete staff and one for the Admin’s personal schedule. Administrators can set how many days populate on those automatic daily emails via their Business Settings, under Preferences, so you can customize how much information is sent out!
